This page allows for people to collaboratively work on a sample letter to various people in Japan, expressing concerns over censorship of certain eroge. Try to have different ideas be presented in separate paragraphs so other users can better pick-and-choose specific arguments they wish to use or drop.

Be bold in improving stuff other people have contributed. But be civil when others disagree with you. Please resolve conflicts on the talk page.

If you are good with Japanese, you can also help by adding Japanese translations right underneath the English paragraphs.

may need to be very different depending on who is being written to, if your version is specific to a recipient, please specify.

Argument 1 Edit

Well, I'm not good with formality and stuff, so I'll just say what I want to say... Someone please shape it into something better later on.

There are numerous "regular" (as in mainstream, not considered "porn"... it's considered art and freedom of expression) films made in Hollywood and elsewhere that have adult content. Many of them, just like these rape games, also have rape scenes, in some cases, the actress emulating the rape scene so well that it looks almost real... However, in such cases, the actress was only praised for making the scene come alive with her acting skills. Why are such movies not banned then? Compared to them, rape in hentai games involves no real human being picturised naked... just images and an an actress making noises. Also, if these games are what cause people to turn rapists, or to even accept rape and other violence in real life, how come so many other countries have as many, if not more, rape cases every year, especially those that are actually complaining about games at present? These games do not make any difference at all, if somebody actually becomes rape-tolerant playing these games, it's that person who's got brain problems more than anything else. There's no need to curb the freedom of expression nor damage the culture of Japan at all.

... Well, that's about it for now. Hope it's good! (And someone do give it better shape, I realize it's not good for being put in a letter... )
